Bike Course
Great Road - flat, fast bike course
Long Course - 2 Laps, 80 km
Olympic - 1 Lap, 40 km
Sprint - 1 shorter Lap, 20 km

Run Course
Scenic Run through town and along the Icelandic River
- Roundtrip 5 km laps -

Long Course - 4 Laps (20 km)
Olympic - 2 Laps (10 km)
Sprint - 1 Lap (5 km)

Run instructions:

  • Leave transition, head south down Ingolfs Street

  • Turn right onto River Rd and continue on River Rd and take a slight left to veer onto river path

  • Run river path until it ends and turn left to head over walking bridge onto Gislason Dr

  • Run straight up Gislason Dr until turnaround

  • From Gislason Dr, turn right on St Phillips Dr

  • Run straight on St Phillips Dr until turn around

  • Turn right at Gislason Dr and head back to transition

  • 3 Aid Stations available - one at transition, one midway, and one at the St Phillips Dr turnaround

Short & Long Duathlon

Course Maps 

Short Duathlon - 2.5 km Run, 20 km Bike, 5km Run
Long Duathlon - 5 km, Run, 40 km Bike, 10km Run


Refer to Bike and Run maps above. 


Run 1 for the Short Duathlon will have a shorter turnaround marked.  

All other runs will turn around at the 5 km roundtrip turn around
